Charter/discription for alt.discuss.disability
W.disability (which later became a.d.disability) was started June 1997 by a proposal from GravitySucks, seconded by Hootie (aka Foolonthehill), and Mark Spivey. (50 votes wasn't needed then.)
This group was proposed because there were a significant number of WebTVers with disabilities and the number was growing.
Grav saw a need for a group where disabled WebTVers could share experiences, find support and ask questions of other disabled people, and those who assist the disabled who could offer their unique perspectives.
