I propose this newsgroup as a place for today's woman....menstruating to menopause....as a place to discuss the issues that affect us today....health, careers, families, spouses, boyfriends, aging parents....where we can gather and share our concerns and experiences, as well as offer support to our fellow women....a haven for the young to middle-aged woman.

Discription for alt.discuss.ladiesroom

Carolyn (Bellachita) and I decided ladies our age needed a place to go to talk about all issues facing women in the 90's. From having a baby to working 70-hour weeks at careers we used to dream about.

There are many groups, but none for this topic and the outpouring from other women has showed us we are correct.

Divorce, dating, being married or widowed. Single moms, health issues, shopping ... my, my women can gab, and we do it while we leave the boys at the table and meet in "the ladies room".
