Proposal for the creation of alt.discuss.science.astronomy
Introduction:
Alt.discuss.science.astronomy will be a newsgroup where people can post images, questions, and info of an astonomical nature.
What would be On Topic:
1. Images, info, or questions concerning a particular type of(i.e. stars) or specific(i.e. The Sun) Astronomical objects.
2. Info or questions about theories or research.
3. Info or questions about the possiability and probabilty of the existance of e.t.'s.(Topics of a more metaphysical nature are probable more apropriate for A.D.openmind)
4. Info or questions about events such as star parties, eclipse cruises, etc.
5. Info or questions about telescopes, telescope making, and other astronomical equipment.
6. Info or questions about NASA or NASA missions.
7. Info or questions about SETI(Search for ExtraTrestrial Intelligence).
What would be Off Topic:
1. Astrology!!!!!!!
2. General help questions about alt.discuss, html, sigs, and homepages.
3. Did I mention Astrology?
4.Vote for ng posts.
5. Want to make this clear. Astology!!!
6. Anything else not related to Astronomy.
