Proposal for the creation of alt.discuss.state.washington
This would be a group dedicated to the OTHER Washington...the State. The place that is the home to some well-known companies....Boeing, Amazon.com, Keytronics, and one company you MAY have heard of called Microsoft. The place that is home to 3 (so-called) professional sports teams, one of them occupying the world's most expensive sporting arena. The place that has natural beauty and graduer out the wazzoo. The place where the citizens are as different as night and day...depending on which side of the Cascade Range you live on. The group is a place where Washingtonians (and non-) can discuss current issues, state policies, and the benefits (or drawbacks) of living in the state. Discussion of professional and/or collegiate sports teams of the state, although not the main focus of the group, would be allowed.
All opinions, informed or otherwise, are allowed.

The charter may be ammended or added to by emailing the proposer and after careful consideration by the group.
