Proposal for the creation of alt.discuss.trivia

This group will be exactly what it says. A trivia group.

Post your trivia questions and see who can answer.
Answer other's trivia questions.
General discussion of the question & answer, if desired.

Or post "fun facts". If you don't know what fun facts are, they are usually tidbits of information that are sometimes ironic or outlandish in nature.

Example: It's against the law to snore in a certain town in Georgia. (Don't remember exactly where though:-)

I think it would be a really interesting group to get started.

As far as guidelines, that subject will be approached later on. But mainly to have FUN! And possibly learn something you never knew :-)

Revised Charter for proposed alt.discuss.trivia

This group will be used to post "little-known" facts that we know as Trivia, (In a question answer format), as well as "fun facts" that are ironic and/or outlandish in nature. (For example: It's against the law to snore in some town in Georgia (I can't remember the town, but this is an actual law :-))

This is not to be mistaken for a "game" newsgroup. It is for people of all ages, and all walks of life, to share their own knowledge in a traditional way.

Be careful visiting this group though! It can be fun and possibly addictive, and you might even learn something you never knew :-)

Guidelines:
"Trivia" questions that make references to things that are obscene, vulgar, or sexual will be ignored, as we want to keep this group comfortable, and educational for all who visit.
